Welcome · The final session
The mortgage is done. Your credit file isn’t.
Completing a mortgage changes the immediate stakes — the intense, application-focused pressure eases — but it doesn’t change the underlying reality. Your credit file keeps mattering: for remortgaging in a few years, for any other borrowing, and simply for staying financially resilient if life throws something unexpected. The file that got you this far is the same one that keeps you here.
Where this sits in the path
The earlier session “Let It Compound” was about discipline in the run-up to a mortgage application or completion — holding your nerve, avoiding new applications, letting consistency do its work. This session is explicitly about what happens after that moment — once the pressure is gone, once the immediate goal is achieved. Different phase, different posture, same file.
This is the final session in the Build Your Credit Score path — a capstone, not a new deep-dive. It’s lighter on purpose: the heavy learning happened across the ten sessions before this. What’s left is the habit that makes all of it compound over the years ahead, and a clear sense of where to come back to when life shifts.
What you’ll take from this
- A clear sense of what changes (and what doesn’t) once a mortgage completes
- One annual habit — not a daily grind — that keeps the whole path’s work alive
- Knowing exactly where in GYM to return if something in your life shifts and you need a refresher
